Gary – Koryak Snow Sheep in Russia

Hey Jack & Ansten

Jack, Thanks so  much for the pics from Ansten Ostbye. How can I put this into words….Despite the bad weather and my rifle shooting too high (causing me to miss 2 rams) it was one of the best hunts I have ever had. Very tough, but Ansten, Stoss and Demetrie all hung in with me and I took a very nice ram on the last day. I could not say enough good things about Ansten and the crew. They all worked hard and were so accommodating. Although Ansten did hurt me a bit with all the climbing. I am still sore!!!

The flight from Anchorage to Petro worked well and the Koryak hunting area was beautiful. I have written an article that I will share when it is totally finished. Going this way was much easier than through Moscow.

This ram makes my 27th ram and 20th species of sheep. No wonder my bones hurt, but very thankful to still be able to climb and hunt.

WOW!! Gray sent me pics of he and Kelli’s ram, goat and fish. What great trophies and beautiful hunt. Thanks Jack for taking the time for such a great couple. They mean so much to us all. Congrats on the hunt!!

And Ansten.. What can I say but THANK YOU>>>THANK YOU >>>THANK YOU for your great attitude…always smiling even when things were not on schedule, all the effort to making our trip comfortable, enjoyable and successful and the pics. I am looking forward to our next hunt!!!
