Idaho Wilderness Elk Hunt

Elk are rutting from mid-September through mid-October.  It is often possible to include mule deer of exceptional size and black bear.  Some very good bulls are found in these areas.  Expect extensive horseback riding and lots of walking.  Forty to 60% or better success on six-point bulls.  Small wilderness elk camps designed for two to four hunters.

Idaho is steep and rough, so well suited for protecting game.  There is a good supply of older bulls and bucks.  Small camps, two to four per camp, are ideal.
