Central Barren Ground Caribou

Over half a million caribou are found in this region alone.   You can take two caribou per hunter.  Excellent fishing for lake trout and grayling.  You can include wolf and wolverine, as well as ptarmigan shooting.  Over the last nine years, hunters have enjoyed unmatched success on caribou of outstanding trophy quality.  Camps consist of comfortable wall tents on wood frames with wood heaters.  Hunters are transported by boat on the interlocking river and lake system found throughout the area.  Terrain is generally dry and rocky, not terribly difficult walking.  Filling out early on caribou gives you ample time to fish for large lake trout and Arctic grayling.
